So it is with the music of My New Favorites. Award-winning songwriting and top-notch players team up to create an incredibly diverse and energetic Americana sound. Their compelling songs showcase fine harmony singing and are complimented by a mix of traditional and modern instruments to create music that is both familiar and brand new.
My New Favorites has deep roots in traditional music, but their branches spread across many musical styles. Individually, they play bluegrass, old-time, blues, rock & roll, Celtic, Cajun and classical. Together, they have created a harmonic union of musical genres that draws inspiration from many sources…but never strays too far from the hills we call home.

“Got To Have That Giving”, shows how piano, organ and clawhammer banjo can happily groove together on the same track. And the rock and roll accordion solo on “Go” is kind of like Chuck Berry gone Cajun”.
“The four part harmonies on the soulful “Meet Me In The Water” and the gospel number “Long White Robe” showcase the band’s vocal abilities. And they show their sense of humor with the girl power anthem “Man Among Men”, and “Splitsville”, which is happy-go-lucky divorce song”.
