The Gate City Frontier, Inc will host a special movie showing of The River staring Mel Gibson and Sissy Spacek. The River was filmed in Gate City, VA in 1984.

The Gate City Theater is currently under restoration which is being lead between a partnership with the Gate City Frontier, Inc and the Town of Gate City. Everyone is encourage to attend this special showing of the River. Bring a lawn chair!
